If you need a rugged AC drive with control capabilities for either simple or demanding industrial needs, then consider the AC Tech MC Series, model MC1000 or MC3000. With a horsepower rating of 1/4 through 150HP and input voltages from 120v single phase to 590VAC, MC Series AC drives are built to withstand harsh industrial environments and can handle simple or more demanding applications. One of the key features is an easy-to-use, 16-character LCD display, which is located just above the drive keypad.
The four enclosure options for AC Tech MC Series drives are listed below:
1. NEMA 1: This enclosure is the most common option, for general purpose use. It provides space for free air exchange to prevent overheating. Must be used in a fairly clean environment.
2. NEMA 12: For environments that have contaminants such as oil, dust and other airborne agents. The enclosure is designed to protect from these harmful agents in smaller power sizes. NOTE: Larger sized NEMA 12 enclosures are available as a cost-saving alternative to a NEMA 4 option.
3. NEMA 4: This enclosure is designed to handle Washdown Duty, which protects the drive's electronics from water that's sprayed near or on the drive.
4. NEMA 4X: This is a water-tight enclosure like the NEMA 4, but also protects the electronics from caustic agents. It is built with stainless-steel and anodized heat sinks, which give it a more rigid structure as well as superior heat transfer.
